The Mackintosh of Strone family are a branch of the Clan Mackintosh descended from Donald Glas, a natural son of William Mackintosh of Dunachton, 13th Chief of the Clan Mackintosh.

Strone is in Badenoch, not Argyle
I keep seeing references to Strone being in Argyle. There might be a place there with same name, however it has no connection with the Strone branch of the Mackintosh.
Fascinated with anything related to Mackintosh, Scotland, and genealogy. Started this passion in my teens, and here I am in my 40s still discovering new things.
