Principal Line of the Mackintoshes

The Strone Branch of the Mackintoshes comes from the oldest son of Lachlan "Badenoch", William of Dunachton who became the 13th Chief in 1514. He was murdered by his second cousin, John who hoped to become Chief because William had no legitimate heir. It is through, Donald "Glas", one of two natural sons to William, that the Strone Branch descends.
